Luna does not offer direct support to children and families impacted by suicide or those experiencing distress and/or despair.

Below is a list of organisations offering support.

Child Bereavement UK

Child Bereavement UK help children, young people, parents, and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Call 0800 02 888 40 or childbereavementuk.org

Grief Encounter

Papyrus

UK resources and support for those dealing with suicide, depression or emotional distress particularly teenagers and young adults. PARYRUS Hopeline number is available on – 0800 068 41 41 or papyrus-uk.org

Samaritans

Samaritans provides confidential emotional support 24/7 to those experiencing despair, distress or suicidal feelings.

Shout

Shout 85258 is a free, confidential, anonymous text support service. You can text from wherever you are in the UK.

Suicide&Co

Suicide&Co supports bereaved individuals and opens the conversation around suicide-related grief.

They have their own Helpline which you can call at 0800 054 8400 from 9am-9pm Monday to Friday to speak to a counsellor. suicideandco.org

Support After Suicide Partnership

Support After Suicide Partnership provides online support and advice, including an option to search for local support.

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide

Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide (SoBS) exists to meet the needs and overcome the isolation experienced by people over 18 who have been bereaved by suicide.

They have a National Support Line which you can call at 0300 111 5065 from 9am-5pm Monday to Friday. uksobs.org

Winston's Wish

The Freephone National Helpline is free to call on 08088 020 021 and offers therapeutic advice following a bereavement.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) is a voluntary health organisation dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide, including those who have experienced a loss: afsp.org
